Private label production for customers

VIN-KON S.A. offers comprehensive production of beverages, lemonades, juices, beetroot soups and other liquid products under our customers‘ own brands. We work with trading companies, distributors, retail chains, importers, brand owners, food manufacturers, restaurateurs and entities that want to create their own product line without having to invest in their own production facility.

Our role is not limited to production alone. VIN-KON S.A. supports the customer at every stage of product creation: from the concept, through the selection of the recipe, technology, packaging and label, to the finished product ready for sale. Thanks to our experience, technological facilities and specialized staff, we can be a stable production partner for the customer, helping to transform an idea into a finished market product.

Private label cooperation

As part of private label cooperation and contract manufacturing, we can prepare, among other products, fruit drinks, lemonades, juices, nectars, red beetroot soups and vegetable products. We produce them using fruit, juices, concentrates and natural flavor components. These may include sweet, semi-sweet, semi-dry, dry, dessert, seasonal or flavored products, or products prepared according to the customer’s individual concept. We also offer the production of beverages in classic, light, refreshing, sparkling, seasonal or premium variants. We create carbonated and non-carbonated products, lemonades, flavored drinks, children’s products, functional beverages and modern compositions based on juices, extracts, herbs, spices and natural flavors. We also offer red beetroot soups, vegetable drinks and products based on red beetroot and other vegetable raw materials, intended for retail, food service, seasonal sales or wholesale distribution.

Cooperation with VIN-KON S.A. can begin at various stages. The customer may come to us with a ready-made idea, a finished recipe, an existing brand or merely a general product concept. In each case, we help select the appropriate technological, raw material, packaging and production solution. The first stage is an analysis of the customer’s needs. We determine what product is to be introduced to the market, what taste and character it should have, its target group, quality level, price segment, planned sales channel, type of packaging, capacity, label style, production batch size and expected completion date. At this stage, it is important to understand whether the product is to be economical, mass-market, premium, regional, organic, seasonal, intended for the food service sector, for export or prepared for a specific retail chain or distributor.

Once the requirements have been established, we prepare a recipe proposal or analyze the recipe provided by the customer. Our technologists select the appropriate raw materials and parameters, including the level of sweetness, acidity, color, aroma, extract, juice content, carbon dioxide saturation, product stability and other characteristics affecting the quality and shelf life of the product. We also take into account requirements concerning sensory characteristics, tax and excise markings, and compliance with applicable regulations. In the case of juices, lemonades, beverages and beetroot soups, we pay particular attention to natural taste, color stability, freshness of aroma, microbiological safety and the consistency of every batch.

Once the general concept has been approved, we can prepare product samples. This is a very important stage, as it allows the customer to assess the taste, color, aroma, consistency, sweetness level, acidity and overall character of the product. Based on the customer’s feedback, the recipe can be refined. We can change the flavor intensity, sugar level, aroma, color, acidity, carbonation, fruit, herbal, spicy, dessert or refreshing character. The aim is to create a product that meets the customer’s expectations, is attractive to the end consumer and can be produced consistently and reliably.

At the same time, we determine the packaging and labeling requirements. VIN-KON S.A. can support the customer in selecting the bottle, closure, capacity, label, carton, shrink wrap and multipacks. The customer may provide their own label design or use our support in developing a graphic concept. At the labeling stage, it is particularly important that the design is not only visually attractive but also complies with legal requirements concerning the labeling of food products. The label should contain all the necessary information, such as the product name, ingredients, capacity, details of the manufacturer or responsible entity, batch number, best-before date or use-by date, nutritional information, allergens and other markings required for the specific type of product.

Once the recipe, packaging, label and commercial terms have been approved, we proceed with production. The process is carried out with quality control at every stage: from the receipt of raw materials, through the preparation of the batch or charge, mixing, filtration, stabilisation, pasteurisation or other technological processes, through to filling, labelling and packaging. In private-label production, consistency is particularly important. The customer expects each subsequent batch to have the same taste, colour, aroma and quality. Therefore, at VIN-KON S.A., we ensure appropriate technological parameters, laboratory control and production documentation.

Quality is one of the most important elements of cooperation. Every product should be safe, stable, and compliant with the agreed parameters. We control raw materials, semi-finished products, and the finished product. Among other things, taste, smell, colour, clarity, extract, acidity, sugar level, packaging tightness, labelling accuracy, and the product’s compliance with the adopted specification may be checked. As a result, the customer receives a product ready for sale, prepared in accordance with technological, quality, and commercial requirements.

Finished products are packaged in accordance with the arrangements made with the client. These may be cartons, shrink-wrapped packs, pallets, multipacks or other solutions adapted to wholesale, retail, food service or export distribution. At this stage, we also agree on logistical matters: customer collection, transport arranged by the client, delivery to a warehouse, retail chain, distributor or designated logistics centre.

An important element of the cooperation is the price offer. We price each private-label production project individually. This is because the final product price depends on many factors: the type of product, recipe, raw materials used, packaging capacity, type of bottle or other packaging, label, closure, production batch size, complexity of the technological process, quality requirements, packaging costs and logistics. VIN-KON S.A.’s aim is to prepare a calculation that is economically justified for both the client and our company. The product must be attractively priced for the market while also ensuring appropriate quality, safety, production consistency and profitability of the entire project.

In practice, this means that already at the initial stage of cooperation we analyse the cost of raw materials, individual packaging, labels and auxiliary materials, production and bottling, quality control, multipack packaging, storage and preparation for shipment, the minimum production batch size, the client’s expected selling price, the client’s potential margin and the profitability of production for VIN-KON S.A. As a result, the client receives not only information on how much the production of one bottle or one batch will cost, but can also assess whether the given product makes commercial sense.

After receiving the basic assumptions, we prepare a preliminary cost calculation. It may include the cost of the product in individual packaging, i.e. the estimated cost of producing one bottle, can, carton or other sales unit, as well as the cost of the entire production batch, i.e. the order value for a specified number of units, for example 3 thousand, 5 thousand, 10 thousand, 20 thousand or more. We can also prepare several price options. The economy option is based on a simpler recipe, standard packaging and a lower unit cost. The standard option combines good quality, an attractive price and the possibility of broad sales. The premium option assumes better raw materials, a more refined recipe, elegant packaging and a higher market price.

For each product, we determine the minimum profitable production batch, i.e. the minimum quantity at which production is technologically and economically justified. A batch that is too small may result in the unit cost being too high for both the client and VIN-KON S.A. The larger the production batch, the easier it is to distribute the costs of preparation, start-up, labels, packaging and production organisation over a larger number of units. Therefore, for larger and recurring orders, the unit price may be more favourable.

For the sake of transparency, the calculation may include individual cost components, such as raw materials, packaging, labels, production, quality control, packing, logistics and production margin. Raw materials include, among other things, juices, concentrates, sugar, flavourings, spices and technological additives. Packaging includes the bottle, cap, capsule, cork, carton or shrink-wrapped pack. The label includes design, printing and application. Production includes product preparation, filtration, pasteurisation and bottling. Quality control includes testing, parameter assessment and batch inspection. Packing includes multipack packaging, palletisation and transport protection. Logistics includes preparation for collection or shipment. The production margin ensures the profitability required for VIN-KON S.A. to provide the service.

This model allows the client to understand what the final product price consists of. At the same time, it provides the opportunity to optimise costs, for example by changing the type of packaging, simplifying the label, increasing the production batch or choosing a different recipe. Private-label production can be highly beneficial for the client, as it allows them to enter the market with their own product without having to invest in a plant, machinery, laboratory, bottling lines, technologists and production facilities. The client bears the cost of ordering the finished product but avoids major capital expenditure. This allows them to focus on sales, marketing, distribution and building their own brand.

A well-prepared calculation should enable the client to determine the purchase price of the product from VIN-KON S.A., the selling price to a wholesaler, shop, food service outlet or retail chain, their own trade margin, the expected profit per unit, the profitability of the entire batch and the possibility of further scaling sales. In this way, the client sees not only the product but the entire business model.

It is equally important that each project be profitable for VIN-KON S.A. Contract manufacturing requires the involvement of people, machinery, raw materials, packaging, a laboratory, warehouse space, technological time and responsibility for the quality of the finished product. Therefore, each calculation must take into account the actual production costs and an appropriate production margin. This makes it possible to maintain high quality, punctuality, stability of cooperation and the safety of the entire process. We do not aim to produce at any cost. We strive for a cooperation model in which the client receives a competitive and well-calculated product, while VIN-KON S.A. can carry out production in a professional, stable and profitable manner.

Depending on the project, we can offer various price cooperation models. Production according to a VIN-KON S.A. recipe is the simplest and often the most profitable model, as the client benefits from our experience, ready-made technological solutions and proven recipes, which can be adapted to their brand. Production according to the client’s recipe involves the client providing their own recipe, while we analyse the possibility of implementing it, ensuring its stability and producing it on a larger scale. The price then depends on the complexity of the recipe and the technological requirements. Developing a new product from scratch is the most comprehensive model and includes creating a recipe, technological trials, testing, packaging selection and preparing the product for mass production. In this case, the cost of preparing the project may be settled separately or included in a larger production order. One-off batch production is also possible, suitable for seasonal, promotional, test or short-series projects, as well as regular recurring production, which is the most beneficial model for both parties. With regular orders, it is easier to plan raw materials, packaging, production capacity and logistics, which may have a positive impact on the unit price.

To prepare a realistic price offer, we need basic information from the client: what product they want to produce, what the packaging capacity should be, how many units they want to order, whether they have their own recipe, whether they have a label design, what the product segment should be, what the expected completion date is, where the product will be sold, whether the product should be alcoholic or non-alcoholic, whether special certificates, tests or documents are required, and whether the client expects assistance with the label, packaging and recipe. Based on this information, VIN-KON S.A. prepares an individual calculation and proposal for further action.

VIN-KON S.A. offers contractors a flexible cooperation model. We can be the manufacturer of a finished product under the client’s brand, a technological partner, the producer of a specific recipe or a co-creator of the entire product concept. We offer recipe development or refinement, raw material selection, sample preparation, trial production, mass production, bottling, labelling, packing, quality control, support with product marking and preparation of the product for sale. Thanks to our production experience, we can create both classic and modern, seasonal, regional, functional or premium products. Our goal is to provide the client with a product that looks and tastes good, is safe, stable and consistent, and is tailored to market expectations.

Private-label production at VIN-KON S.A. is a comprehensive service for entities that want to have their own products. We provide support from the idea to the finished product. We offer technological knowledge, production experience, flexibility and a reliable approach to every stage of cooperation. VIN-KON S.A. is a partner for companies that want to build their own food and beverage brands based on proven production, high quality, professional technological facilities and a reasonable business model that is profitable for both parties.
