Logistics — non-glass packaging

VIN-KON S.A. offers flexible packaging formats for fruit concentrates, vegetable concentrates, malt extracts and selected bulk liquid products. The choice of packaging depends on the type of product, customer requirements, order volume, logistical capabilities and the way the raw material will subsequently be used in the production process.

We handle both standard industrial packaging and individual solutions, including packaging supplied by the customer.

250 kg drum

The basic types of packaging include drums with a net capacity of 250 kg. VIN-KON S.A. routinely uses reconditioned drums equipped with two inner bags: a plastic bag and an aseptic bag intended for contact with food.

It should be emphasized that VIN-KON S.A. does not carry out aseptic filling in the sense of a complete aseptic line. The inner bag, which has direct contact with the product, is aseptic in nature.

At the customer’s request, new drums can also be used. In such a case, the cost of the new packaging is included in the product price calculation.

25 kg canister

Canisters with a net capacity of 25 kg are a convenient solution for customers who need smaller packaging units that are easy to store, move and dispense during the production process.

14 kg canister

Smaller canisters with a net capacity of 14 kg are used in selected projects, particularly for deliveries of malt extracts to customers who require smaller packaging units.

25 kg bucket

Buckets with a net capacity of 25 kg may be used for deliveries of products that the customer uses in smaller production batches or in processes requiring easy portioning of the raw material.

IBC container (so-called tote) 1350 kg

For larger deliveries, VIN-KON S.A. uses IBC containers, commonly referred to as totes. This is a practical solution for industrial customers who receive larger batches of concentrates or extracts and have the appropriate facilities for their further use.

As standard, VIN-KON S.A. uses used IBC containers operating in a returnable system. After emptying the container, the customer returns it for reuse.

At the customer’s request, it is also possible to purchase new IBC containers. In this case, the cost of the packaging is added to the product price, especially when returning the container is not economically justified, for example for export deliveries.

VIN-KON S.A. also provides deliveries of bulk products in tankers. This solution is intended for industrial customers receiving large volumes of fruit or vegetable concentrates, malt extracts or liquid bulk products.

A tanker allows approximately 25 tonnes of product to be loaded. A prerequisite for such a delivery is that the customer has suitable receiving infrastructure: a storage tank or the possibility of introducing the product directly into the technological process.

VIN-KON S.A. also enables filling into packaging supplied by the customer. These may include large reusable containers, plastic containers, inner bags or other packaging systems adapted to the customer’s technological process.

In such cases, we agree on the following each time:

At the customer’s request, VIN-KON S.A. can prepare an offer for other types of packaging, including smaller canisters, packaging in a specific colour, disposable packaging or solutions adapted to a specific market or recipient’s requirements.

For example, in the case of inquiries about canisters with a non-standard capacity, e.g. 13 kg, we prepare an individual quotation including:

• cost of purchasing the packaging,
• filling cost,
• batch preparation cost,
• logistics,
• impact of packaging on the unit price of the product.

Such solutions are analyzed individually each time and offered after confirming the availability of suitable packaging and the technical feasibility of filling it.

VIN-KON S.A. adapts the packaging format to the product specifications, order size, method of raw material use and the customer’s logistical requirements. We offer both standard industrial packaging and non-standard solutions, including new, returnable and single-use packaging, as well as packaging supplied by the customer.

This allows us to serve both large industrial plants receiving the product by tanker or in IBC containers and customers requiring smaller packaging units, such as canisters, buckets or barrels.
